We are back with another writer tag, I’d thought it’d be fun since the last one we did was pretty fun to do. This writier’s tag was found on Kim Chance Youtube video. https://youtu.be/Tjy1MCbIInc
Writer Tag Questions:
1. What do you eat or drink while writing?
I pretty much can’t eat and write at the same time. I can’t focus and try to type as fast as my mind is spitting out words and ideas while eating a meal. Drink water.
2. What do you listen to while writing?
I have a playlist on Youtube that I listen to that plays slow, sometimes instrumental, classical and easy going music that’ll help get into a sort of trance-like state of writing.
3. What is your biggest writing distraction?
Researching, I love learning and that can be a big distraction. And Youtube since it’s open with my playlist anyway.
4. What’s the worst thing that’s ever happened to you while writing?
Ummm I can’t think of anything really dramatic. I feel like the worst thing that has happened was having fear of perfection and hitting a wall.
5. What’s the best thing that ever happened to you while writing?
I got really deep into and made lots of progress and could really feel myself into the novel. For The Foretold, I made a handbook for the novel since I was creating my own versions and world of werewolves, vampires, witches, muses, etc. My favorite creation was the part of the world that housed the muses. Learning the Greek pronunciation and stuff like that was fun to learn.
6. Who you communicate with or not communicate with while writing?
My Madness family of course! If I’m stuck then I head online or a writing buddy or the NaNoWriMo forums.
7. What your secret to success and your biggest writing flaw?
Procrastination and perfectionism are two of my biggest writing flaw. My secret to success is filling your creative tank with lots of inspiration, being around knowledgeable people, and the urge to never stop learning.
8. What inspires you? Or what makes you productive?
Magickal pictures. Reading. Watching horror/thriller/fantasy movies. Cerries Mooney business programs. Kerli and her amazing music and pictures. Lilly Singh and her vlogs.
9. What is one thing you do or other writers do that’s annoying?
Hmmm, I feel like procrastination would be my number annoyance with myself. Other writers would be the long wait between books although as a writer I understand.
10. Are you willing to share something you’ve written?
Yes, this is a section of The Foretold novella that I happen to love:
A static of electricity buzzed through the air leaving the only two in the room hair’s standing on end. The lightining bolt bounced across the room knocking over pots, pans, and different vials filled with a variety of colored liquids. One by one they each fell off their perch up high. The blue vial fell first and when it exploded, a mist as dark as the night sky and as thick as a dried ice quickly filled the room. A pink filled vial disappears through the fog and then the sound of it shattering can be heard.
Cevasteian cursed turned around toward the blackening fog. He watched as the spiders grew from their normal size to about the size of a full grown dog. They all had beady red eyes and black slithering hair up and down each eight leg. Each spider had a hunger for fear and weakness, exactly how Cevasteian designed them for. With one look at Cevasteian’s cool, calm expression, they turned their attention to the boy quaking by the basement door.
Milean watched mouth wide as tiny black spiders emerged from the darkening fog heading toward him.
“Uncle Marx” Milean dark blue eyes rose to meet Cevasteian’s own. Cevasteian turned his back on the boy, he had other problems. The lightning bolt was still bouncing madly around the room.
