Questions to get deeper into Feverborn by Karen Marie Moning.

In Karen Marie Moning’s latest installment of the epic #1 New York Times bestselling Fever series, the stakes have never been higher and the chemistry has never been hotter. Hurtling us into a realm of labyrinthine intrigue and consummate seduction, FEVERBORN is a riveting tale of ancient evil, lust, betrayal, forgiveness and the redemptive power of love.

What interested me in the book or series at first?

The relationship between Mac and Barrons.  Then it was all the action and the cool magical aspect of the Fae.

What kept me interested?

The mysteries and the characters.  I love to see how things are going to work out with relationships and how they continue when the world is fracturing and being glued back together differently.

What is my favorite setting of the book and/or series?

I fall back and forth from Chester’s to Barrons Books & Baubles.  I don’t think I have fully formed the bookstore in my mind like I have Chester’s.

To love or not to love the main character, that is the question:

The main character I would have to say is Mac and I have loved her since the first book.  It is awesome to see her progress through each book. I like the way Mac thinks, it seems like she’ll take time, after panicking, to break down and center herself so that she can make the most appropriate decision.  She gets scared, nervous, angry, and freaked out but will continue to push herself and challenge her strength.  I relate to her.

Also, Dani was another main character and I love the way she walks, talks, and her strength.  She is stepping into her womanhood with grace amid being a fresh young adult.  I relate to her when she speaks about dancing.

“and the dance was only for her, to let her soul breathe, to revel in being alive one more day…Abandoned to the moment, the beat, the freedom of thinking no further ahead or back than now.”

That whole scene of her striding into the club is one of my favorites.

Fever Series...

Can I step into this world?

Oh most definitely, I have mentally been inside Chester’s and have been kicking Fae booty multiple times.  I love the world building in this series.

My survival rate in this world (low- I would not last; medium- a good chance if I was cunning enough; high- yes, I know how to successfully maneuver around):

Medium.  I would have to be on my toes to keep myself alive and have some great fighting skills and magick to survive with the nine, Mac, and Dani/Jada.
