Book Insider: Burn Bright

bbBook Insider

Questions to get deeper into our Mad-Read-A-Thon books.

In her bestselling Alpha and Omega series, Patricia Briggs “spins tales of werewolves, coyote shifters, and magic and, my, does she do it well” (USATODAY.com). Now mated werewolves Charles Cornick and Anna Latham face a threat like no other–one that lurks too close to home…

What interested in the book or series at first?

I’ve been in love with the Mercy Thompson Universe and the Alpha and Omega series by Patricia Briggs. So when Burn Bright was announced, I knew I was going to get it.

What kept me interested?

My love of the characters and their world is awesome.

What is my favorite setting inside the book and/or series?

Bran’s house.  I like how she describes it. A scene I love and vividly remember is towards the end and all I say is smoke and Leah.  When you read the book, you’ll understand.

To love or not to love the main character, that is the question:

Love.  I love Anna and Charles and their magical connection was awesome to read.  I was so immersed.

Can I step into this world?

Yes and I do all the time.  I have fanfiction daydreams of this world and my love of Bran.  Although, my Bran obsession changed quite a bit and I side-eye the nugget of info we found out.

My survival rate in this world (low- I would not last; medium- a good chance if I was cunning enough; high- yes, I know how to successfully maneuver around):

I’d say MEDIUM.  This was a dangerous novel full of action that I wasn’t expecting.  I would only survive with the help of the rest of the pack.  I was killer at getting the clues that Mrs. Briggs put down but still didn’t recognize they were in trouble until a second before.
