October Madness Goodie Bag

Good morning my dear Mad family and readers, Viktor here to provide you with another October Madness posts.

Yesterday we worked quietly as new ideas continued to pop up.  We are finishing up the start to the short story of the month Echoes of Madness.  But we have other creepy posts to share with you.

OM Goodie Bag 17We three powers of creativity sit together with a bag of October Madness goodies that we would like to share with you.

So move up closer for a better look and feast your eyes on what fills our October Madness Goodie Bag.

Take it away Scribe.

We have three posts with so far of our Goodies.  The first one here you will get a taste of is the many podcasts and audible we have been listening to that sometimes make our skin crawl with excitement.

First, one that really got me caught into podcasts is THE BLACK TAPES PODCASTS:

The Black Tapes is a bi-weekly podcast from Pacific Northwest Stories and Minnow Beats Whale, and is hosted by Alex Reagan. The Black Tapes is a serialized docudrama about one journalist’s search for truth, her enigmatic subject’s mysterious past, and the literal and figurative ghosts that haunt them both.

How do you feel about paranormal activity or the Supernatural? Ghosts? Spirits? Demons?

Do you believe?

I loved the story and the many many plot twists.  The creepiness and creative lore involved blows my mind.  It will definitely take you on a ride and have you looking behind your back or the shadows extra closely.

My favorite was hearing about Simon, no spoilers here, but I was entranced and my mind was working hard to figure it out.  I have not listened to the Unsound and don’t plan on it.

Second on this list of podcasts is TANIS:

Tanis podcast

Tanis is produced by the same network/company that made THE BLACK TAPES and has it’s own creepy vibe to it.

Unlike THE BLACK TAPES, TANIS makes you use your investigative part of your brain.  You try to put the pieces together as fast as the characters can and are shocked when something new happens.

Okay, my favorite was learning about the elevator ritual/the elevator game and the creepy story behind it.  It supposed to take you to another dimension. I was shocked to find that this was a researched thing and a game people believed.

….Now when the door open on the 5th floor a young woman may enter the elevator you must not look at or speak to her.  At this point, you press the first-floor button if the elevator starts to move up to the tenth floor… you may continue; if elevator moves down get out as soon as possible and under no condition look back at or speak to the woman….

There is more to the game but you will have to listen to this episode. Episode 103.

ANITA BLAKE SERIES

Not the only audible I’ve ever listened to but the first series.  At first, I wasn’t too much interested in Audibles, then I listened to a Kresley Cole book and I was hooked onto Kimberly Alexis’s voice and acting.  So I searched for more of the audibles books she voiced and found the ANITA BLAKE series by Laurell K. Hamilton.

This series is a wild fantasy ride that I love. It’s also super intense and not for the fainthearted with its gruesome details of the adventures Anita finds herself in.  However, I cannot get enough of Anita and I love her strength, cunning, and mind.  She is a really phenomenal character.

The good thing is there are 25 books in this series and I’m just about finished with nine.  I haven’t been bored or thought that the series has been dragging on, I feel like I’m barely scratching the surface of Anita and I hope the trend continues through book 25.

There you have some creepy madness to listen to and keep you up at night.

In our next goodie bag, we’ll go deeper into the many October Madness books we recommend.
