Thank You, Mr. Craven

I was rather shocked by the announcement of horror legend Wes Craven dying at the end of August.  It’s hard to believe there will be no more movies from him.  I had intended to write this piece earlier but I think it’s more fitting this close to Halloween.

So I want to take the time to say Thank you, Mr. Craven for one of my favorite movie series, Nightmare on Elm street.  Those movies were genius and just so wonderfully complex.  It opened my mind wider creatively to thinking the impossible.  There were lots and lots of great scenes that stopped my heart and made me get goosebumps.  Thank you for getting my heart pumping and my adrenaline racing.

Scream…Scream was legend as well.  Movies I can watch over and over and never get bored.  I laughed, I screamed, and I jumped.

I loved My Soul to Take and Red Eye.

The Hills have Eyes was sickening, chilling, and so so awesomely gruesome!  Twisted so twisted, my brain really appreciated it.

Rest well knowing that you gave pieces of yourself to the world that we will never forget.
